Why it’s hard to believe that people can be born gay (using reason)

No science stuff…no hate speech. Just simple reasoning to explain why it’s so hard to believe this claim…

Let me begin with something that was said to a people called the Corinthians a while ago concerning issues with their lifestyle;

Don’t you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers – none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God. There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away, and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

QUESTION: Amongst the lifestyle practices listed in the message above, are you able to mention any that a person is born with? How about one that a person can’t turn their lives from? And how about one that isn’t a result of choice?

Let me give an illustration to further bring out my point.

Suppose a presidential candidate declared the following in the middle of his campaign speech;

The criminal gangs, rapists, smugglers, drug dealers, serial killers, human traffickerscorrupt government officials and all black teenagers, will surely be caught, rounded up and tried for their crimes committed against our country.

Wouldn’t this be ridiculous and illogical?!

To include black teenagers amongst the wicked in society?!

Well, in the same way; it would be just as ridiculous and illogical of God to be against all forms of sin such as stealing, killing, lying, disobedience, drunkenness, fornication, corruption, hate, malice, adultery, pride, greed, gossip, rape, envy, unfaithfulness, lust, hypocrisy (all of which are practices that we can turn from if we do repent)…and as well add homosexuality (a practice that we are supposedly born with) into the mix.

This would be completely unreasonable and unjust of God…to condemn one to hell for eternity for having the “natural” characteristic of being gay.

People, this can’t be. Our creator and father, in all his goodness, can’t create a broken image of himself and thereafter condemn it for practicing what he intentionally purposed it to do.

It only makes sense that the creator would know the true nature of his creation, and be against the flawed nature of it so much so that he’d try to correct it.
